The fourth volume of Passengers sees a slew of international talents come together each with their distinctive styles channeling the Kuukou sound esthetic.
Arpeggios and an infectious rhythm assist ‘Nothing Changes’ by the mysterious Halfeart and Spanish producer Alex Smott in kicking off proceedings. A peak time anthem with a massive peak, it takes us restlessly onto the second track. George Adi’s Mentality seems tame in comparison, but its determined bassline and melodic lead make it a slow burner that’s perfect for heating up a dancefloor. On the more introspective side of techno, POLS offers up a whirlwind exploration tinged with acidical synths and hypnotic grooves. Aptly named for a closing track, Sosa Ibiza, Dalosa & Mr Wox’s Finish History is a mean, choppy ride through swinging hi-hats and convoluted pads.
