The fifth edition of KKUVA houses four epic tracks from a cluster of sonically diverse artists with one thing in common: standing together under the techno umbrella.
Stuttgarters Vamos Art describe their music as “hypnotic techno”, a label that couldn’t describe the first track, Antistatic better. Mesmerizing from the first bars, its dynamic yet progressive build up makes for an instant dancefloor weapon. Italy’s Roby M Rage has been alternating lockdown time between live streams and producing heavy hitters, as is evident with his track X-File. Highly engaging dark techno descending into acid, it spells smokey atmosphere all throughout. Also hailing from Italy, newcomer Omis brings a hard techno edge with Secret State, a solid groove with weighty drums and an acid-tinged lead. Bristol-based duo Jägerhertz round up the release with the buzzing Starliner, a scintillating slice of restrained techno.
